Neck pain and cervical problems
Neck pain and cervical problems
Long hours on phones and laptops have made neck pain extremely common. Most cases are muscular and improve with posture correction and exercise, but pain that travels into the arm needs assessment.
Dr. Shweta Vandurkar, orthopaedic surgeon in Thane, evaluates your history, examines the area, reviews imaging when needed, and explains every option clearly, starting with the least invasive that can work.
Seek urgent care for: Weakness or clumsiness in both hands or legs; Severe neck pain after an injury or fall; Neck pain with fever and a very stiff neck.

Your questions
Prolonged forward-bent posture overloads neck muscles and joints. Posture changes and exercise usually help.
If pain lasts beyond a couple of weeks, spreads into the arm, or comes with weakness or numbness.
